Martin is an award winning designer, specializing in hand lettering, with a high level of detail and diligence. His one man studio is based in Stockholm, Sweden but he works with clients all around the world. "Do your best and be thorough," are the design ethics that Martin lives by. Before hand lettering was his profession, he found himself drawn to designing letters. Martin's interest in hand lettering was evoked through graffiti art in the 90's. Graffiti was a good way for him to explore the alphabet and learn how the letters were put together. It intrigued Martin that as a graffiti artist you don't have to follow any "guides or rules." As his career developed, his style was further inspired by funky logotypes and 19th century typography. His unique style has a strong focus on symmetrical designs. Martin helped Pastime Pictures create a logo that felt crafted and timeless with Art Deco inspired themes. The goal was to pay homage to the golden age of cinema, while still appealing to a modern audience.
